Sloan: “Money City Maniacs”
Sloan faces the music
Sloan is very well known in Canada (they’re from Nova Scotia), but is quite underappreciated in the United States. They’ve released one great album after another since the early ’90s, with their music falling somewhere on the spectrum between The Beatles and The Kinks on one end and AC/DC and Thin Lizzy on the other (and many points in between). This album, Navy Blues, came out in 1998 and in a more perfect musical world would have made them stars here. “Money City Maniacs” is my favorite song from the album (and with so many great songs, that’s saying something), so crank it up!! and all that. Great song for air guitar…
