Comment Spam of the Week: March 19-23
Yes, it’s that time once again, to highlight the comment spam received here at Reselect.com this week that I feel is most deserving of a response, for one reason or another. This week, I received a very thoughtful comment regarding my post about The Champs song, “Tequila.” It was from a young man, I believe, by the name of Military Car Insurance. Now before I get to the comment, I just have to ask about that name: Did you change the spelling? Because I have a couple of friends with the name, “Militerry,” so it never occurred to me there might be other spellings.
Now on to Military’s comment, which included an oddly coincidental spam link (considering his name), for car insurance for teen car owners.
Hi there, I read your blog from time to time and I own one similar to this and I was just wondering if you get spam feedback? If so, how do you prevent it, anything on cheapest car insurance for young drivers you can recommend?
Funny you should ask, MC — as it turns out, I do get spam feedback every now and then. You too? I’d have to say no, I don’t really find that looking for the cheapest car insurance for young drivers does much good deterring spammers. Admittedly, I don’t have a solid alternative, but one thing I can safely say you should not do is make a point of publicly highlighting one of the spams you receive each week. It doesn’t do a darn thing to cut down on the volume.
Comments, please…
