Nothing sketchy about the song, just the album cover


Not for any particular reason, I’m going to begin with a solo song released by Corin Tucker of Sleater-Kinney last year: “Doubt,” from the Corin Tucker Band album, 1,000 Years. Okay, so I guess maybe that’s not solo, exactly, if she’s with a band, but you know what I mean. It sounds pretty much like a Sleater-Kinney song, so if you like them, you’ll like this one!

On a general note about this blog, I’ll often be posting these songs as links to corresponding YouTube videos, so you’ve got something to watch while listening. They won’t always be the “official” videos for the songs…just the best of whatever’s available.

And on the subject of Sleater-Kinney, who knew Carrie Brownstein could be funny? Her IFC show “Portlandia,” with Fred Armisen, is pretty hilarious at times. But enough about her — back to Corin…
